Two boats for the winners
Tanguy de Lamotte and Adrien Hardy, winners in 2009, are back but not in the same boat: a promise to live up the event. Among the 2009 participants that will come back, Armel Tripon, 3rd in 2009, joined this time by Fabrice Amadeo. Jacques Fournier, also comes back to discover again the cocoa's taste in Maya land. As for Marc Lepesqueux and Benoit Parnaudeau, faithfull to the class, are here with the intention to try to rally Progreso and include this Solidaire du Chocolat to their nautical CV, after having to give up on the first edition marked by a succession of very deep depression.
Rookies and favorites
Let's also welcome to a beautiful rookies'fleet on this hard race of 5000 miles to Mexico: Sébastien Rogues, Aloys Le Claquin, Stéphane Le Diraison, Mathis Prochasson, or the German Jörg Riechers, 6th on the last Route du Rhum. Finally hard to forget the great duo of Yannick Bestaven and Eric Drouglazet. These two have dominated the Transat Jacques Vabre from start to finish last November. We guess they are about to set off again on the Atlantic and Caribbean Sea with a beautiful "favorites" label attached to their transom! Appointment is already given Sunday, March 11, off Saint-Nazaire, to taste the first scent of a transatlantic.
