Canal 40 – The Class40 Timeline
For the Route du Rhum, Class40 is breaking new ground with the launch of Canal 40, bringing all the Class40 news together in one single feed.
Following a race also means following everything happening around it: positions and results, of course, but also skipper posts, press articles, videos, social media updates… There is a wealth of information, but keeping track of it all can sometimes be challenging with so many different sources.
To make this information easier to access, Class40 is launching Canal 40, a live news feed integrated into its new website and accessible directly via an icon on your smartphone. It brings together all Class40-related news in a single feed.
Developed and designed by VMG Studio, the team behind Class40’s new website, this innovative tool brings together in one place all the content published by the Class, skippers, media and the various stakeholders across the circuit. Social media posts, press articles, web publications and video content are all gathered in a single timeline, directly accessible from the Class40 website.
Publishing to the website with an AI agent, directly from your smartphone
“We immediately connected with the initial brief,” says Emmanuel Lechat from VMG Studio. “We saw it as an opportunity to explore innovative automation techniques.
Our solution is based on a conversation with an AI agent, allowing content to be published at the pace of the race: everything can be done from a phone, even from a pontoon. The team can share a link or a photo as easily as sending a text message. The AI agent takes care of the rest, without the need to go through a traditional back office.
Within seconds, every link or message sent becomes a post archived on the website and visible to everyone.
The Class40 team selects the content and remains fully in control of the news it wants to share.
This solution provides the public with a continuously updated news feed that is simple, intuitive and mobile-first from start to finish, from publication to viewing.
The VMG team is delighted with this collaboration and is committed to staying at the forefront of new digital uses, with Canal 40 providing a perfect example of how AI can deliver automated solutions through a simple and intuitive user experience.”
