The 10th edition of the Record SNSM will take place next June. Profil Grand Large takes this opportunity to honoure the Class40 yachts by offering them a 1000nm solo-handed journey, from and to Saint Nazaire, via Spain and Ireland. A warm up and excellent training session for the fleet who will take the start of the famous Route du Rhum at the beginning of November.
Under the name "La qualif", the event is in keeping with the Solidaire du Chocolat, where each Class40 competing will be linked to a charity (social, solidarity or turned toward the sustainable development). Each project of these charities will be financially supported by patrons of the Pays de Loire region.
On top of this, local students will follow "their" Class40 before and during the race, thanks to a program put in place by the school but also thanks to a meeting skipper/students organised before the start of the race.
