The race is on! Yesterday, Sunday 8th August, the start of the 49th edition of the Rolex Fastnet Race was given in sustained sea and wind conditions.
After a few hours of racing, five boats had to abandon due to various incidents, including the dismasting of Project Rescue Ocean, which was leading the fleet at the time.
